He causes the grass to grow for the cattle,
And vegetation for the labor of man,
So that he may bring forth food from the earth,
And wine which makes man’s heart glad,
So that he may make his face glisten with oil,
And food which sustains man’s heart.
---Psalm 104:14-15
The cattle often roam in the field by our house.
Sometimes they quietly nibble and chew without making much of a sound.
At other times, however, they have a lot to say, heralding their powerful voices into the neighborhood.
Do they worry about getting enough to eat?
When they arrive at the fence with their little ones bounding along innocently, do they concern themselves with having enough grass to raise their young?
Probably not.
God provides everything they need.
He provides for us, as well.
