Another day, again.

Psalm 103:2 - Let all that I am praise the LORD; may I never forget the good things He does for me.

 Everyday we wake up is another blessing. Follow your dreams and don't let anyone stop you.

 Put your ear down close to your soul and listen hard.

But some days are dark......

And sometimes, before you can see the Light, you have to deal with the darkness.

But you still need the two: the dark and the light. You can't see one without the other.

As you start and end your day, say 'thank you' for every little thing in your life. And you will come to realize how blessed you truly are.

Psalm 147:1-4 –
How good it is to sing praises to our God;
   for he is gracious, and a song of praise is fitting.
The Lord builds up Jerusalem;
   he gathers the outcasts of Israel.
He heals the broken-hearted,
   and binds up their wounds.
He determines the number of the stars;
   he gives to all of them their names.

 "The glory of the stars is the beauty of heaven, a glittering array in the heights of the Lord."  (Ecclesiasticus 43.9)

 Deuteronomy 4:19 – And when you look up to the heavens and see the sun, the moon, and the stars, all the host of heaven, do not be led astray and bow down to them and serve them, things that the Lord your God has allotted to all the peoples everywhere under heaven.

Genesis 15: 5 – He brought him outside and said, "Look towards heaven and count the stars, if you are able to count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your descendants be."

 Jeremiah 29:11 - 'For I know the plans I have for you,' declares the LORD, 'plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'

New Delights

 This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24

It's a chilly, pre-spring morning. I anticipate going outdoors with my sketch pad and a large cup of coffee to start the day off. Well, maybe I'll just wait until the frost melts, first.

If we are children of God, we have a tremendous treasure in nature and will realize that it is holy and sacred. We will see God reaching out to us in every wind that blows, every sunrise and sunset, every cloud in the sky, every flower that blooms, and every leaf that fades.~ Oswald Chambers

 

 

 And you? In this new day the Lord has made, what delights do you anticipate?

 I'm overwhelmed with how He blesses - how He speaks to me in these common graces - these treasures in nature outside my front door.

And I'm full of thanksgiving and gripped by His love.

Simple Joys

Ah, the simple joys in life. How often they go unnoticed.
Take the time to see;
Take time for quiet;
Take time to smell the flowers.
Take the time for the simple, yet sweet joys in life . . . . . . . .
We only pass this way once- this is no 'dress-rehearsal.
Enjoy it.
